ASN: Santa's Grotto at the Buffalo Farm

Santa’s Grotto is BACK for 2025!

This year, we’re delighted to introduce ASN-friendly sessions to our Santa’s Grotto experience at The Buffalo Farm.

These sessions are available in selected morning and afternoon time slots and include smaller group sizes, allowing a little extra time with Santa and a calmer atmosphere for those attending.

We do our very best to create a welcoming and comfortable environment during these sessions. However, please note that we are unable to control visitor numbers throughout the rest of the farm during the day.

We hope these sessions help make your visit a truly magical and relaxed Christmas experience for everyone.

What’s included with your ticket:

  • Spend a few special minutes with Santa in his cosy grotto
  • Receive a gift from Santa to take home
  • 20 minutes of playtime with our cheeky Pygmy Goats and Santa’s Elves
  • Make a Christmas wish and hang it on our Whimsical Wishing Tree
  • Get creative with outdoor crafts with Mrs Claus
  • Post your letter to The North Pole for Santa to read later
  • Capture the magic at our Elfie Station — perfect for family photos

During the booking process, please share your child’s name, age, and a little something to share with Santa for a magical experience. For example, “Lennon, age 7, hopes for a bike this Christmas and is working on keeping his room tidier to help Mum.”

What else is happening around the farm:

  • Toast marshmallows or s’mores (additional cost)
  • Enjoy face painting by Freedom Face Painters (additional cost)
  • Visit The Bothy, open from 9am–4pm (last food orders at 3pm)
  • Pop into our Farm Shop for local produce, gifts, and festive treats
  • Buy your REAL Fir Christmas Tree from On Cloud Pine!

Our event is running from Saturday 6th Dec then every weekend until 21th Dec 2025. We have added an extra date - Friday 19th Dec.

This ticket gets you into the barn with some of our Pygmy Goats, you are not allowed to bring goat feed in with you but there are plenty of other goats to feed around the farm. The goat feed is available in the Farm Shop.

Important Information

  • Only children require tickets. Please purchase based on the age your child will be when they meet Santa.
  • Each child may be accompanied by a maximum of two adults as grotto space is limited.
  • There will be several great photo opportunities, so don’t forget to tag us in your festive photos.
  • The welfare of our animals is our top priority. Our Pygmy Goats love meeting visitors, but to keep them happy and healthy, sessions are limited and group sizes kept small. You will visit the goat AFTER meeting Santa.
  • Dress for the weather. It’s winter in Scotland, so wrap up warm, bring waterproofs, and wear sensible shoes.
  • There is a Handwash Station next to the MilkBar. It is essential you wash your hands after contact with the goats.

Come along for a magical day of festive fun, farmyard friends, and Christmas cheer — where memories are made and wishes come true.
