Join us at The Buffalo Farm this Spring as we welcome ZooLab – the UK’s leading provider of ethical, hands-on animal encounters for a special interactive experience designed to be engaging, educational and enjoyable for all.
This ASN-friendly session has been thoughtfully created to offer a calmer, more relaxed environment, with smaller group sizes limited to just 15 participants. This helps provide a comfortable setting where everyone can enjoy the experience at their own pace.
ZooLab amaze, educate and inspire through ethical and engaging animal workshops that support learning and wellbeing in a fun, safe and informative way. Their expert presenters work with early years groups, schools, businesses and care settings across the UK — and now they’re bringing their incredible animal experience to The Buffalo Farm.
During your 45-minute structured handling session, you’ll have the opportunity to meet, learn about and handle between 4–7 fascinating animals from ZooLab’s exotic menagerie — creatures great and small.
You may encounter:
• Stick insects
• Tarantula
• Scorpion
• Corn snake
• Giant millipedes
• Cockroaches
• Giant African land snail
• Tree frog
• Rats / Gerbils
Whether you’re feeling brave enough to meet a tarantula or prefer something a little gentler like a tree frog, there is something to fascinate and amaze everyone.
Please note: Animals attending on the day may vary slightly. For allergy awareness, a furry animal such as a rat or gerbil may be included depending on your booked workshop. All ZooLab animals live with their presenters at home, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare at all times.
This event is hosted by The Buffalo Farm but led and delivered by ZooLab’s trained presenters.
Before your session, you’re welcome to enjoy our family play area and bouncy castle (weather permitting), helping make it a fun and relaxed day out on the farm. Please note that the play area closes around 4:30, so it will be closed when your session finishes.
As a little bonus, every ticket includes a pack of our very own Buffalo Mozzarella, made here on the farm and redeemable in the farm shop — giving you the chance to try our delicious signature cheese.

Health & Safety
The safety of ZooLab presenters and their animal team is of the utmost importance. All visitors are asked to follow the guidance of the presenters so that both guests and animals remain comfortable and safe throughout the session.
The event takes place in our partially covered outdoor courtyard. April in Scotland can be unpredictable, so please dress for the weather and wear sensible footwear.
Handwashing facilities will be available and must be used after handling the animals.
