Wholesome, Hands-On Learning – Come Rain or Shine
Join us at The Buffalo Farm this Summer as we welcome back ZooLab – the UK’s #1 for ethical, hands-on animal encounters for an exciting, interactive experience for all ages.
ZooLab amaze, educate and inspire through ethical and engaging animal workshops designed to support learning and wellbeing in a fun, safe and informative way. Their expert presenters work with early years groups, schools, businesses and care settings across the UK — and now they’re bringing their incredible animal experience to The Buffalo Farm.
During your 45-minute structured handling session, you’ll meet, learn about and handle between 4–7 fascinating animals from ZooLab’s exotic menagerie — creatures great and small.
You may encounter:
• Stick insects
• Tarantula
• Scorpion
• Corn snake
• Giant millipedes
• Cockroaches
• Giant African land snail
• Tree frog
• Rats / Gerbils
Whether you’re brave enough for a tarantula or prefer a gentle tree frog, there’s something to amaze everyone.
Please note: Animals attending on the day may vary slightly. For allergy awareness, a furry animal such as a rat or gerbil may be included depending on your booked workshop. All ZooLab animals live with their presenters at home, always ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare.
This event is hosted by The Buffalo Farm but led and delivered by ZooLab’ s trained presenters.
After your session, enjoy access to our family play area and bouncy castle (weather permitting), making it a full, fun-filled day on the farm. If you have booked a later session, please feel free to come before your session to make full use of the play area - please note that the play area closes around 4:30pm each day.

• £10 per participating person
• Minimum age: 2
• 45-minute structured session
• Access to family play area included
Health & Safety:
The safety of ZooLab presenters and their animal team is of the utmost importance. Unreasonable behaviour will not be tolerated. If a presenter feels they or their animals are at risk, they have the right to stop the session immediately.
The event takes place in our partially covered outdoor area. Even summer in Scotland can be unpredictable, so please dress for the weather and wear sensible footwear.
Handwashing facilities will be available and must be used after handling the animals.
